Frequent claims of damage to underground services on multiple infrastructure projects in and around a bustling city in the Middle East prompts insurers to instruct CEERISK to investigate the underlying issues with project execution plans. CEERISK engineers inspected the construction sites of multiple projects documenting method statements and excavation techniques.
During meetings with project engineers, CEERISK experts were able to ascertain the challenges faced by contractors when excavating, especially around substations, where many MV and HV cables were previously laid underground.
The investigation was coordinated with all stakeholders of the construction project, including the owner, multiple contractors, brokers, loss adjusters, and re/insurers who provide cover for the projects.
CEERISK experts are set to review project plans, specifications, method statements, and analyse actual works performed on site to determine what underlying issues may have led to a large number of liability claims during the construction.
