On Thursday 2nd of March 2023, CEERISK held a workshop entitled "Risk Assessment and Claims Handling of Special Industrial Plants".
The workshop was focused on claims investigation of major and complex losses in industrial plants and was attended by representatives from ten different insurance companies from the Jordanian insurance market.
Most of the discussions during the interactive workshop were about the challenges that insurers and loss adjusters face when handling claims from industrial properties, and how to overcome them.
Our experts, Mamoon Alyah and Zaid Atoum, presented case studies of large fire losses in cement plants to highlight the challenges involved in investigating the cause and origin, and the difficulties in determining policy liability in addition to policy warranties and exclusions.
This workshop will be the beginning of several face-to-face events in that will be held this year for employees of insurance companies in Jordan.
