CEERISK was instructed to identify the root cause of a partial collapse of a steel structure supporting a clinker hopper at a 56-year-old cement manufacturing facility south of Riyadh, KSA.
Unfortunately, we were unable to examine most of the fallen structural materials during our on-site assessment due to limited access to the site where the partial collapse occurred in the southeast corner of the building.
Despite the challenges faced during our investigation, our experts were able to assess extent of damage and establish the root cause of the building’s collapse as being caused by the breakdown of one or more structural parts.
