Colin Heyes (PGCMP, MIFireE) joins CEERISK from Cheshire following thirty (30) years’ experience in the fire and rescue service as an Operational Fire Office. Colin has worked in a number of roles, including conducting fire investigation, workplace assessment, arson reduction, fire protection and community safety, as well as operational incident management.
In his role at CEERISK, Colin conducts fire investigations of incidents including commercial, industrial, vehicle and domestic fires. In addition to determining the root cause of fire incidents, Colin also determines the nature and the extent of the damage. When required to do so, Colin has presented evidence to different entities, providing expert testimony, written expert reports as well as recorded statements.
Drawing on his vast experience working as a fire investigator, Colin carries out workshops and training specifically designed to meet the needs and requirements for internal training. In addition to his work as a fire investigator, Colin also serves as a trainer/assessor with students aiming to achieve SFJ Level 5 Certification in Fire Investigation.
